Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and Lambda Chapter Sigmas are partnering up with various organizations within the university and the greater Charlottesville community to bring you important programming centered around domestic violence related issues. Domestic violence occurs at such shocking rates and the problem is that most people do not realize this. We would like to open yours eyes to this very real problem that effects more women and men than you would think.

Join the sisters of Sigma Psi Zeta and the Asian Student Union for an issues round table, 10/24 in Newcomb 177 at 6PM!

Presented by Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Inc and the UVa Women’s Center.

Learn how to help a friend or even a stranger that may be victim to domestic violence.

Join us for this bystander intervention panel to learn about warning signs of abuse and what you can do to help. Plus, meet with a survivor panel and hear their sides of the story.
